Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the ai-social-media tool ("the Tool") handles data. The Tool is operated by a single individual ("the Operator") for their own personal use.
1. Scope
The Tool is a single-operator utility. It has no end users other than the Operator. It does not collect data from members of the public, and it does not provide any service to third parties.
2. Data the Tool Handles
The Tool handles only the following categories of data, and only with respect to the Operator and the social media accounts the Operator owns:
- OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by each connected platform (TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), used to publish posts on behalf of the Operator's own accounts.
- Content the Operator chooses to publish, including images, videos, captions, and metadata.
- Post identifiers and timestamps returned by each platform after a successful publish, so the Operator can locate the resulting posts.
The Tool does not collect, process, or store data belonging to any other user, viewer, follower, or third party.
3. Where Data is Stored
- OAuth tokens are stored locally, on the Operator's own machine, in a configuration file that is excluded from version control.
- Content is stored only on the Operator's own machine before being uploaded to the relevant platform.
- Post identifiers and timestamps are stored locally on the Operator's own machine for record-keeping.
No data handled by the Tool is transmitted to any server other than the official APIs of the connected social media platforms.
4. Data Sharing
The Tool does not share data with any third party. The only outbound transmissions are to the official APIs of the platforms the Operator has connected, and only for the purpose of publishing content the Operator has explicitly chosen to publish.
5. Retention
- OAuth tokens persist locally until the Operator revokes them, either by deleting the local credential file or by revoking authorization in the connected platform's settings.
- Published content is retained on each platform according to that platform's own policies.
- Local logs are deleted at the Operator's discretion.
6. Operator Rights
Because the Operator is the sole subject of any data handled by the Tool, all rights of access, correction, and deletion are exercised by the Operator directly on their own machine and on the connected platforms.
7. Security
The Operator is responsible for the security of the device on which the Tool runs and for protecting the local credential file.
8. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. The version published here is the authoritative version, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
9. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy can be directed to the Operator via the contact details on their GitHub profile: github.com/OverDriveGain.
